Ricky Powell

Some friends in Brighton went to see the prolific hip hop photographer Ricky Powell talk at The Old Music Library back in December. Sometimes known as the forth member of the Beastie Boys, Ricky has photographed icons sch as Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat, Kool Keith and LL Cool J. He became a Def Jam photographer and quit his job as a “Frozade” vendor, after touring with the Beastie’s and Run DMC.
