Rap star Heavy D died on Tuesday at the age of 44 after collapsing near his home in Los Angeles. The causes of his death are unknown. Heavy was the frontman of Heavy D and the Boyz, which fused New Jack Swing with reggae. He was one of the key shapers of rap music in the early 80′s and late 90′s, he will be sorely missed.
